HAPPY BLACK VALENTINE'S DAY! HAPPY SAD!
SAD = Singles Awareness Day. damn - they even have Pepero Day - god knows what festival it is. the koreans are mad to have so many 'dates of love'. being romantic must mean big business in Korea if the marketers do through the effort of coming up with all these special days. and definitely, singles there must be feeling damn bad. the 14th of every month just rubs salt into the open wound. 
Dates of love:one poor lady was quoted: "i had a miserable time on Valentine's Day, felt even lonelier on White Day and now i am crying over a bowl of black noodles." while a 14 year old girl's reply when asked about her view on romantic relationships was: "A big building. Many pretty boys. Lock the door." wth..
January 14th - Diary Day: a mutual exchange of diaries with 'dates of love'.
February 14th - Valentine's Day: girls present boys chocolates.
March 14th - White Day: boys return the favour by giving girls and girls they like - candies
April 14th - Black Day: time for the unloved to eat black noodles aka jachangmyeong
May 14th - Rose Day: couples exchange roses while lonely people head for a bowl of curry.
June 14th - Yellow Day: exchange of teddy bears.
July 14th - Kiss Day
lol. thank god we only have valentines' day here.. if not, all these dates plus the Xth month anniversarys and first kiss/first SXX Day celebration... i definitely volunteer to remain single!! BUT THEN AGAIN! it means korean guys must be really romantic since they have had all the 'dates of love' training back in korean. woooooo.. i wonder if the koreans are the next best thing after the sexy french and passionate Italians... *ponders*
