chinese new year

woah.. the lunar new year is coming real soon..

my ONLY & TOP MOST IMPORTANT RESOLUTION of the new year.. *drum roll* ------ to have a steady supply of cash flows into my bank account. i am sick of always moaning that i have no money when i wanna buy stuff that i really really want.. and mommy always complains that i am spending alot of money. the only way to make sure it comes true is to find the root of my cash woes.

REASON #1: alcohol. nice alcohol is damn expensive in singapore. so cut down on alcohol expense = increasing net profit.

REASON #2: sharing presents. there is a high chance that i end up buying the presents when sharing. people like to FORGET to pay me after agreeing to share the present and they will ALWAYS mysterious land themselves in the bermuda triangle - totally uncontactable. super pissing off.

there is a chinese saying - ''you qian chu qian. you li chu li''. meaning: if you have money, you provide money. if you have manpower, you provide manpower. please do not misread it as since you have both money and manpower, please provide both. so in the near future, i will only share presents with people who i meet very, very often and have a good record. cut down on bad debts = increasing net profit.

REASON #3: 21st birthdays. so i am going to budget the cost of presents. last year's 21st seriously sucked me very dry. sigh... party + presents = $600+

maybe i should cut off all contact with the real world and become a hermit. *trys to snipe of imaginary threads of friendship* lol. just kidding - there are better ways to earn money. hahaha.. friends for rent! anyone who is feeling lonely and needs friends can contact me and my friends! cost of service is negotiable.

i think it's a pretty good idea. better than some of my other friends who are thinking of selling their dogs, brothers, mother(!!).... hahaha

REASON #4: AVOID CABS AT ALL COSTS! last year, i did spend quite abit on cab fare. it has got to do with alcohol. hahaha i have been a good girl - i have not been in a cab for more than 3 months!

REASON #5: i eat out very often. food prices have been rising alot lately so eating out is more expensive. so unless necessary, eat at home - jia roti. even better eat air.

REASON #6: CDs? i know we are supposed to support intellectual property.. i will be more selective.

REASON #7: i buy alot of rubbish. i have to use all my old bags, accessories, wallets and misc. stuff till they wear and tear.

REASON #8: no work = no income.

actually to push myself to really 'grab' money - i have come up with my wishlist for this year. hahaha. hopefully it will really help me save money and when the time is ripe - i can spent it all on these stuff! hahahaha

#1: Nintendo DS Lite - Crimson/Onyx (Limited edition)
#2: Premium seat at Fahrenheit's December concert. hopefully they don't have sky high prices
#3: Nintendo Wii (i will get bro to buy with his paycheck haha)
#4: LV/GUCCI bag - this is really an luxury item so.. KIV. only if i am feeling super loaded..

okok. this is most probably my last entry before the year of the mouse arrives. come to think about it, in two years' time, i would have been around for 2 cycles of the zodiac cycle already. 24 years. omfg. okok
