MAYDAY: DOWN-TO-EARTH CONCERT 2008!

GOD! I AM EFFING HIGH NOW! I WANNA KEEP JUMPING ON A QUEEN SIZED BED AND SING! SING! SING!! I AM FLOODING MY BRAIN WITH MAYDAY SONGS! I CAN'T GET ENOUGH OFF THEM!! OH NO!! HOW AM I EVER GOING TO SLEEP TONIGHT!

the first concert i have ever been to! i can't believe that i just attended MAYDAY's concert!! and now, i love their songs even more!! just because they sang it live. THEY WERE VERY GOOD! i think in future i will become a more diligent fan and try to remember lyrics so when i go for the next concert i can really, really sing along! =)

very importantly, i must thank Kuanie for informing me that about the concert ticket sales. we managed to snag two of the most expensive tickets. i had no idea it had even started! wth - less than 2 weeks since they opened for booking; almost all the most expensive tickets were sold!!

we were lucky to get the $168 tickets! and its pretty near the STAGE BRIDGE too!! but i wish i was seated near the walkway! I AM DAMN JEALOUS OF ALL THE PEOPLE WHO GOT TO TOUCH MASA, MONSTER, STONE, GUAN YOU AND ASHIN!! AND THAT GIRL BECUZ ASHIN PATTED HER HEAD!!

my company this time round - Kuanie =) yeah she is a big mayday and Ashin fan. i am a Ashin and Monster fan. =) haha!

last year i missed their 'Leaving Earth's surface - JUMP!' concert.

i was really, really sad; not being able to attend their JUMP! concert. this year, Mayday kicked off the leg of their 2008 asia tour with its first stop being Singapore. how cool is that - the first stop! woohoo!! i always know deep down mayday loves singapore very very much. hahaha.

thank god they had a concert again this year and i have the money to buy their tickets. yeah~!! i am seriously broke but i am damn happy. super worth the money!

'Down to Earth' asia tour concert 2008 kicked off, on 26th April 2008 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, sometime before 8.30pm. suddenly lights went out, men in combat gear fell down from the ceiling. can you imagine how high everyone was?

everyone's armed with lightstick and damn excited. but raining men was only starters.

actually, normal words wouldn't be able to express my happiness and joy and excitement and the loads of adrenalin that flooded my bloodstream. i really wanna scream four letter words and chains of hokkien explicits because it was just so good. during the warming up, i thought for a moment; my worst fears were confirmed - songs that i don't know and i am not going to get high. then after the first 30 minutes, things started getting hot! woohoo~!

the rest are off for their 1st costume change. my voice was abit hoarse after the 1st hour! their live performance is really good - no shit man. when all the members were having their solo bits - Masa's hands were going so fast - you can see double vision!! and you hear no real differences between ashin's live and CD vocals. maybe since its live and the music is really blaring - i think his live singing was better! sat down to listen to ashin talk and here him sing. sigh~! *heart melts*

the sky bridge coming down! hahaha everyone was screaming because it meant people at the sides get to touch the band members~!! and we get to see them really really close! i was nearly going crazy when Ashin had the fans touching his back and arms while he sings! damn all those lucky fans! damn jealous!

Monster on the stage - hee hee.. he had the words 'singapore' written very very big on his left arm. =) he even brought another guitar for the concert! red one! i didn't get a good photo of him in it!! he looked very, very good in that costume! shucks! i must search for it on the web later.


wishing Masa happy birthday! this part marks the end of the first half of the concert. then we all sang happy birthday song for masa! =) haha the concert batter here was really funny and its alot of mushy stuff fan simply love. 'blow the candles up?' hahaha

after their 2nd costume change, they sang 'lian ai-ING' - check out the happy lovely colour at the background! there was one point they keep repeating L.O.V.E on the big screen and fans just keep chanting. that night we had to spell L.O.V.E. continously for 50, 60 times. then i am not sure but ashin looked very touched that we just keep chanting. hahaha. he looked like he was going to cry - though i think it was faked cuz all the band members were exaggerated and acting. but very cute. hahaha.

we had a screaming session. damn high can! i still screamed myself silly. lucky me got to smuggle my herbal water in.. if not i wouldn't be able to last screaming for 3 hours. so left, right and center people took turns competing. the photos below were when we had to do body language - spell LOVE with our hands! then after that they sang 'DOWN TO EARTH!'

them wearing the concert t-shirt! it reads 'MAKE MUSIC NOT WAR' and i bought one! there were other shirts that cost $70. gulps. i admit i am not a very loyal fan of Mayday but i do enjoy and like their songs. but after this concert - i am going to be a loyal fan!

Ashin's wen rou was damn nice! and everyone was singing along!! and he sang yang cong! i am damn happy i got to hear it live! cuz i am very sure that it was much better than aska! lol. i think he was on top form last night because he hardly zhou ying much better than the versions i found on the net!

they sang 'Leaving earth's surface' a final time, i think they sang it thrice! i love that song!! everyone bowing to mark the end of their concert! after that, they threw towels at the audiences! there were 7, 8 towels thrown and i think it was the towels they used! oh my tian!! by the end of their concert, they sang 40 odd songs? damn shiok lah! i am going to go their concert next year again! lalala!

i bought a shirt and i wanted to nearly bought their towel too~! arh!! i was abit pissed with this pair of girls and another couple because they stood at the front of the stand for damn long. when everyone else is trying to get to the front of the queue so they can buy the remaining shirts - they just keep holding on to the shirts and thinking! absolutely irritating!

i didn't bother waiting for them to finish the purhase. so i shouted my order to the sales lady, got the shirt and poster, paid the money and left. after my transaction ended - the couple was still deciding which shirt to buy! wth - deciding between two shirts, with only L and limited M sizes left; need to think so much meh?!

but at the end of the day, we went home happy and singing along the way - lots of people with cars; left the stadium grounds with MAYDAY SONGS blaring from their stereos! hahaha. =D really, everyone's happy and high!! so am i!! and this entry took a record 4 hours 30 minutes to blog mainly because of the uploading of photos, renaming. out of the 185 photos - i narrowed down to 50. lol.
