Movie Marathon

The super long weekend was spent with my old pals man! one missing but it was still great fun! super long since we met up and i think when you grow older and have less time for each other; doing normal things together seems so much harder..

it's a the Grand Cathay and apparently this is a very popular western food place since the queue was crazy! the ambiance inside the resturant was not bad. but it's weird sitting outside. anyway the food is not bad but not say, super good. but definitely value for money.

since its the long weekend, we can slack and rot all day long. our intended plan was to have dinner, then catch a movie and head down to bugis for KTV. when we leave KTV - we should be in time for some dim sum breakfast at Red Star Resturant. But sadly, age catches on pretty quickly.

in the end we only succeeded in reaching only stage 2 because we were tired. lol. i guess working does speed up the process of turning you into an old hag.

even though i love watching movies, this is still a first time i am watching 2 movies back to back at a cinema. but i must be getting old because sitting at the chair for so long makes me restless.

i can't really imagine myself planted to an airplane seat for more than 5 hours. i think i might die you know. i dunno how people can tahan those long-haul rides.. your butt will flatten sia.

i think it is more value for money to watch movies than to sing ktv because sunday's rates were damn expensive sia! $35 for a package!! that is equal to 4 movies man!! i hate it when things become so ex! i cannot imagine what it is going to be like during xmas - global financial crisis is scary shit.

since xmas is coming in less than 2 months time! i need to save money to buy presents and chill out with friends lor. i think this year - i am going to be on a budget. maybe i will use newspaper to make photoframe! hahahaha! or invite my friends over for a steamboat dinner! no service charge, no GST, no queuing and most importantly - guaranteed good food!!

it seems that this is actually quite an old movie. this poster says screened 2007 spring. for it to make its way into singapore's theaters, it must have been quite popular lor.

the movie was - totally not what i expected. i have watched other sex comedies from korea and i think they are funny in a kinky way, without being raunchy. when i skimmed through the synopsis - i assumed it was a sex comedy but it is nothing like that.

hahaha i can't say what i feel about this movie because it will totally give the plot away but i feel that it is worth a watch if you have the time and money. not a must-watch-kinda movie lah. and maybe after watching the movie - women will be better able to identify what they want in a partner and the approach towards marriage.

i give this movie a rating of 3.9 /5. lol.

The House Bunny

pardon my language but The House Bunny was fucking funny! me and my friends were laughing our ass off man!! dumbass movie that is the funniest when you watch it the first time round.

Anna Faris plays Shelley Darlington and she is super hot can! good proportions, nice legs, slim waist as expected of a girl playing the role of a playboy bunny. and man is she dumb when she talks. lol. the main cast is also quite funny lah. but you really wouldn't remember what was so funny about the movie because you were too busy laughing. lol. and it is 10 times better than 'Scary Movie'. the jokes are not lame. its geniunely funny!

rating 4.5/5!! and they probably stopped screening by the time you read this.

Is anyone interested? i heard it is also very funny too. apparently having some army knowledge will up the funny factor. i wanna go watch it on weekdays so that i am entitled to the student rate! hahahha. =D anyone wanna go?
