despite living in a district where there are more than 100 pubs and which, i nicknamed PhilipinoLand- it is the first time i have been in a pub. most of these pubs are in shophouses in bugis and chinatown area - chinatown being the ones with all the Philipino waitresses.

That fine night after NYDC dinner - we decided to bring Yukiko to Haji Lane for a drink and we had an interesting night at one of the pubs. actually the one we wanted to go to was damn crowded so we randomly found one to sit in. it is the typical ones where you can sing KTV for everyone in the pub to hear. i am damn shy so i don't sing. hahahahaha.. quite dark.
but lo and behold - one of the regulars was holding his mini birthday party there and getting damn high on Chivas. and because we were sitting damn close to the counter where he was, he kept talking to us. end up we had to keep talking to him! no time to talk among ourselves. but it was interesting. cuz the guy was just those talkative kind; not aggressive...
overall, interesting but i don't think i will want to go into one again. the next one i want to conqure is a gay bar. whoosh!!
