Accuracy of Death

oh. today's paper was...

WONDERFUL.
SIMPLY WONDERFUL.

i can only pray that i pass. if not, i would have to retake this pre-requist module and delay taking a core module. the end result would be me taking a "special sem" - doing an extra year. oh well. anyway, exams at expo are always chaotic. everyone was fighting their way around the list of candiates to see where they were seated. SIGH. damn stupid thing i have to say.

when paper started - i could only say that my hands were shaking with adrenaline and cold. my fingers were already purple less than 30 minutes into the paper! anyway there were so many components that i couldn't do - i think.. i think its hopeless to think anymore. hopefully they have moderation. on top of that - i can only moan at the stressed induced skin problems. *sobs*

3 more papers to go!
Aja! Aja! Fighting!

On a lighter note, i caught 'Accuracy of Death'.

Frankly, it is not too bad - provided you go in without too much expectations. totally not an emo or depressing movie when a topic like death is involved; instead it uses light humor. i might even catergorise it under comedy!

the deathgod's tagline "What do you think about death?". when things start turning cliche, it turns out a little differently. of course, midway through the movie, you end up criticising the deathgod's decisions to proceed with a person's death or to suspend the death - hence the title 'Accuracy of death'.

Kinda of interesting so i might grab the book that this movie was based on. oh by the way, the translation of the movie was alittle funny i think. and sometimes wrong i think. hmmm. gotta ask my sensei about it.

Most importantly, it is a must catch for any takeshi fan simply because this is a once in a lifetime chance to see the godly Takeshi behave so.. adorably.

i don't usually use that word on males but Chiba (the name of Takeshi's character) is rather niave and childish. especially when he listening to music. HE IS DAMN CUTE! how can a full grown man act so childish and ridiclous and yet remain natural. Takeshi really portrayed his character very well.

maybe he portrayed him too well to the point that it shifted the focus of the movie alittle. or maybe my brain was just too tired to comprehend the movie at a more indept level. hur hur hur. incidentally, my friend and i were talking about how Takashi's movies are always so serious. and i agree! apart from those idol flicks made during his early years in showbiz - all were pretty serious. so this is definitely a first for him!

haha by the way this is not the reaction of a fangirl. the entire theater was laughing at his childish antics and naive reactions! just the kind of movie to help relax my stressed and taxed brain - not too much thinking needed. i think it was worth the $10 because i really enjoyed it and i can actually start studying again!

taken from a Accuracy of death movie review from some other place.
With the pretty images in place, the next thing that works well in this movie is its well articulated themes about life. What defines happiness? What does it take to give up on happiness? What makes one faithful in what he believes in? What makes one’s life fulfilling and complete at the end of the day? Sure, these are romanticized notions that some cynics may consider a waste of constructive time, but we’d think that these are the finer details of life which busy urbanites like us should slow down and take note of. These three tales bring together these messages and make you look at the big picture of things in a lyrical manner.
ok. end of entry.
i am going to dream about adorable Takeshi and forget about the nightmare this afternoon.
