Food and Alcohol = alot of money

today is the last day of AUGUST~! omg time is flying man!

time always seem to fast forward whenever you are working cuz your life revolves around your work. that is quite a scary thought actually. SIGH~ I AM SO00 LOOKING FORWARD TO WORKING MAN.... 

anyway i met up with some ex-colleagues at DXO the other day and man, i am glad that i left my company already. =D hahaha its actually quite interesting to hear about the on-goings of the department. sigh - i think part of me is kinda bitter about being traumatised in there and having to leave my beloved colleagues. oh well. it's all in the past...

my first graveyard. oh man - it tastes yucky and its really strong because i was slurring alittle after i finished it. hahaha when i asked the waitress if it was strong. she said some people just collapse after drinking! OMG how embarressing is that? but 7 types of hard liqure/stout is not everyone's cup of tea  and it is freaking expensive ok. an experience none the less. i am still contemplating if i wanna try bloody mary. everyone tells me it sucks though.

nothing to blog about except food. actually i have been squandering money on food and alcohol. a trip to Fairprice and i can chock up almost $100 bucks worth of food!!! seriously - it is bad on my pocket especially since everything is rising.. but what to do? i have cravings to satisfy~!!!

CRAVING: RAMEN and XIAOLONGBAO

i had this major craving for ramen for quite sometime already and my favourite ramen place is actually not crystal jade. i think their ramen is a little overpriced and not really nice. hee hee.

this ramen shop in chinatown has really chewy ramen. yum yum! i love their zha jiang mian! their porkchop ramen isn't bad either! i forgot to take a picture of my food. too hungry to wait. but i did manage to take the side dishes!

Their homemade egg tofu is to die for ok. it like eating pudding. the texture is super good and smooth - even better than conventional tofu. woots! actually this LAN ZHOU LA MIAN has been featured in alot of magazines but mostly Japanese tourist mags. 

the place is in one of the shophouses along Chinatown's food street. it is kinda crazy to see all the walls with pictures of the chef taken with his customers.

CRAVING: SPAGETTI
i love spagetti and my favourite spagetti is at new york new york and spageddies! Had spagetti with Junyi and Shuwen at Shokudo. hahaha i like the way they cook the spagetti but damn - the potatoe croqutte was damn blend. i could only taste pepper. tsk tsk tsk.. i would be damn pissed if it had been very expensive!

oh their waffel is not bad. i like it. maybe i will go back again for waffels.

CRAVING: STEAMBOAT

did i tell you i love steamboat? the one at marina closed down so i am actually at a lost as to where to eat nice and cheap steamboat. shuwen intro me this ma la steamboat place and their soup base is damn spicy!! $15 for a steamboat buffet is pretty ok.  i might go there again!  i didn't take food table because our table was damn messy and unglam. and it is next to tian tian. hahaha. we didn't try tian tian because there are alot of bad reviews about that place. i don't want roaches in my food man.

FREE FOOD
hahaha you know what, i love my present company because  i always end up eating free food! ok that sounds damn cheapo but yeah. i get treated to lunch quite often.

fish and co - i forgot what this was called but it didn't taste good. was it because it was one of those healthier choices? man - no wonder they say that only sinful food tastes good. healthier choices are bland!! i am going to stick to fish and chip next time!

ended up having dinner at Marriot last week because of a seminar that the company was holding there. this is named rosemary marinated spring chicken. and it was from Marriot hotels' diner. sounds good right? and it was described as a healthy main course. but marinated my foot! it tastes so bland and knn it costs $24 ok!! it is like cheating people's money. why do i always end up ordering bland food! *grumble* *grumble* 

thank god the meal was courtesy of the company. my colleagues are quite funny. they went to bother the waiter because everybody's food was bland. hahahaha! the waiter could only smile smile.

sinful and delicious. this was the only other thing i ate the day of seminar. yummy!

i have craving for steamboat at vivo. its is only $13.90 and it has ma lah too. anyone wanna try?
