Macau 2009 Day one

PLACE: MACAU
DATE: EARLY FEB 2009
PURPOSE: VACCATION

Sigh~ nothing beats having a relaxing vaccation and enjoying fresh and delicious food. i wouldn't say the food is cheap though. it is roughly the same as sin but definitely nicer!

i know exams are coming but i think i have been studying since like the start of the year so why not? re-charge abit before sinking into the fiery hell of mugging... oh - i miss Macau already. i think i might have left my soul there, somewhere. hohoho!!

Macau is damn puny - but you need to be a cow if you wanna eat all the wonderful, wonderful food that the place has to offer. i might not have four stomachs but mine is sufficiently large enough to stomach five to six meals a day. muahahahhahahhaha.. *grinning gleefully*

but i realise something - you can hardly find any plump people there. i mean there were only skinny, skinny young people around. why arh? i mean that country has so much good food - how can one not grow fat there?

--[[ breakfast@梁慶記粥粉麵食:- 福隆新街 21 號 ]]--
anyway bumped round and wala~! my gourmet journey starts with a small shop.

my first meal upon touching down: pig liver and intestine porriage. YUMMMMM... never had congee so smooth.

that's 福隆新街 in the evening. White shophouses with red doors and windows. so nice~!! 雲吞 (wanton soup) and 蝦子撈竹昇麵 (shrimp roe noodles). wah~! can't find such springy noodles anywhere in singapore!! *sobs*

this is like chinatown's wet market many years back. i grew up in chinatown so this brings back memories~!!

senado square in the day time. this is where you can find St Dominic Church - it's got a very church feeling, not like some of singapore's commericalised churchs. nice feeling =)

nothing fantastic about this but i love the noodles. i saw this african man eating there with his friend. i think he was conversing with the waitress in cantonese but i had NO IDEA what he was talking about. i bet he's a regular there. that's why the waitress was tuned to his frequency..
Photobucket
that plate of fish skin might look kinda gross but surprisingly crunchy!!
Photobucket
pig trotters' noodle
Photobucket
fish ball made from a special kind of fish. not a fan of it though.

--[[ dessert@杏香園 - 澳門清平直街13號 ]]--
hahahahah i think this place sells nice dessert~! i mean i don't see much dessert houses in Macau but this is over 140 different types.. so yes - you can go eat one every night and you have to stay in Macau for 3, 4 months.

Photobucket
my dad's chestnut something something with coconut milk i think.
Photobucket
